Snap Happy

Adam_matt_i2What a lovely weekend! Matthew, Adam (the Birthday Boy) and I whipped around London perusing the Science Museum, trying to sneak into the National Gallery, climbing in Trafalgar Square, stuffing our chops in China town, exercising our wallets in Oxford Street and walking in circles trying to find Covent Garden (I swear it disappeared for the weekend!)...

Adam's 16...

Adam_goth_2_resized...and I feel old. I'm in London this weekend celebrating Trundle siblings stylee. My younger brother Adam (aka abi) officialy turned 16 approximately an hour ago. Lots of walking, lots of micky take, lots of fast food (I feel like I've put on half a stone) and lots of love. So much to tell, I will share all when I'm back in the Chi-chay-steer xc

Obi Wan...

11_imageThe lovely Christopher Lindsay kindly sent me this link today... http://www.starwars.com/episode-iii/bts/me3/11.html. It's a tid bit of how Ewan McGregor has become Obi Wan Kenobi! The count down is well and truely underway, I have found where to hire a Jedi robe and I'm on the hunt for a lightsaber. If you're not there on May 19th dressed to the nines and screaming at old George then it will be your loss! Rumour has it that Sven is tracking down a gold bikini... I think he'll look rather fetching!

"Sick as a dog...

Austin_powersGonna spew." You gotta love Austin Powers. He's lent me so many expressions so useful in everyday life. Yesterday I was sick as a dog... Monday morning I went to see my doctor with an assortment of war wounds I thought I should get checked out and though I left reassured, I also so left with a nasty present from my fellow patients...

Risk, Freedom, Discipline...

Ptgwwhitebrder401x300I just recieved a beautiful thank you card in the post from Jonah. On the front was the intrigueing painting on the left (click to enlarge). It's from a show at the Bilboa Guggenheim called "TOTAL RISK, FREEDOM, DISCIPLINE". The words jumped up at me from the card and span around in my brain. Risk, Freedom, Discipline... three words that have sumarised the last year and hopefully the coming years of my life.

Generation X

P1010010Yesterday was my beautiful Mother's Birthday! Like the faithful daughter that I am I spent approximately 9 1/2 hours on trains yesterday to get to Grendon and back to celebrate with her! 'Quelle horror!' I hear you cry but no! I had 9 hours of time to write in my journal, bring my head noise to God and finish Douglas Coupland's excellent 'Generation X'...

Sleeping and grinning...

CarlaHmmm this has been a good week grounded in a lot of reality. Close friends are still going through really hard stuff, my prayers are getting simpler and more heart felt, and I'm living with the consquences of deicisions I've made. It's painful, worrying and frustrating but through it all I've been strangely happy...

Pray for Andrea!

Andrea_1Hey Guys, big ask... please pray for my beautiful friend Andrea. She's a lovely lady and she's in the hospital right now with mysterious memory loss. I'm sick of people who give there lives to God being sick, please pray for her and Markus. Jonah and Markus have written a report for the 24-7 Supporters site to help you pray, I've copied it here...

IAM5!

Iam5_1I absolutely loved IAM5 on Saturday… I was so scared about it all week but the minute everyone arrived I looked around the room and thought, “What am I worrying about? It’s just a party for my friends!”…
