Secret Serenity

SerenityI got the most lovely present yesterday from a secret gift giver. As I collected the post from the 24-7 pidgeon hole I was amazed to find a parcel from Amazon with my name on it. Scratching my head and wondering what I could have possibly purchased and then forgotten about (not unheard of) I ripped open the packaging to find Serenity on DVD!

I've met my Nemesis!

SunglassesIt's a fearsome thing to meet your match, as you stand toe to toe with your nemesis and reach down into the depths of who you are, deciding how far you will go to defeat her! "Who", you may ask, "deserves such a title." Well she was blonde, pug faced and about five foot high, yes my Nemesis is 10, but don't judge me till you hear the truth...

A Whirlwind of a Week!

Carla_suckingApologies one and all for my appalling discipline in blogging. If it’s any reassurance I have been neglecting all Internet activities for the past week and am now facing an inbox gauntlet of Biblical proportions. “Why?” I hear you cry; well this week has been what you might call eventful…

The Menagerie

Smiles_i_mugsToday is a busy day in the 24-7 office. There are nine, count them, nine people crammed into our little office perched on the pink sofas and sharing desks, fighting over the 24-7 mugs and frustrating Charlotte with all their clutter. I love it...

Little Black Book

Carla_grey_cardyThere's nothing more addictive or tantilising than playing with a new phone. Most of my lunchbreak was spent testing out the camera, setting up my options and sifting through my phonebook. My electronic little black book of friends, family and useful numbers that map out my life; spiderwebs of people spinning out in every direction...

I love lamp

Razor_phone_aThe word love is grossly overused today and I am the worst of perpetrators. The word spills from my positive, enthusiastic mouth with the greatest of ease. I love my new mobile, iBook, mini me, boots, home, friends, fella, family, food, mayonnaise, I love mayonnaise...

Happy Birthday to we!

Grin_kiss_1What a difference a year makes. So much has changed, friendships drifted, friendships forged, others still plodding along side by side. A new depth in my walk with God, Tranist, more travel, 24-7 is another year older and in just 12 short months I've gone from a content little singleton to a merrily engaged woman...

A different kind of warmth

Carla_snowman_charlottejpgIt strange looking out of the office window to a bright, sunny, snow free view.  It's amazing how accustomed to white you become in such a short space of time.  Charlotte and I have been back from our latest jaunt to Norway a few days now and as I start to type I'm uncertain how I'm going to communicate the magic, warmth, mishaps and adventures we experienced...

Greatings from Narnia

Charlotte_carla_snowFrom where I’m sitting, Charlotte is changing into her Jammies to my right, my feet are tucked under two duvets (!!) in front of me and behind the wall I’m leaning against is the perfect Norwegian night view; tall triangular houses, a luminescent moon and two feet of luscious snow!

Raisans are evil!

Thelmalouise_4I knew the Bible was the living breathing word of God but I had no idea how accurate it was in identifying evil in our everyday life! Hosea 3:1 The LORD said to me, "Go, show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another and is an adulteress. Love her as the LORD loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes." I've always hated dried fruit!
