Sparklers & Suits

Pete_shirlToday I received the most imaginative multi-media RSVP to our Wedding invitation to date. The always resourceful and industrious Wardy and his delectable girlfriend Miss Shirley decided to sing their reply whilst burning the sparkler we sent them in anticipation! Download their musical marvel here... Download sparkler_fun.mp4 It's three weeks and five days 'til W-Day, it's starting to feel awfully close. Where on earth did the last ten months go?

Budget and preparations are going fine, the house is really coming to together and I'm getting pretty excited. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm boring all my friends with the topic, I'm trying not to twitter on about my to-do list.

The long hunt for an unusual veil has come to an end, the resourceful ladies at my dress shop did a little calling around for me. Actually my dress ladies have been amazing. I found an old costume necklace in a charity shop a few months ago that I fell in love with. Sadly it's a little care worn so I was debating whether or not it was up to scratch for the big day. When I went to collect my dress one of the girls came out of the office clutching a jewellery box.

"I was really freaked out the other day when I saw the necklace you were wearing at your fitting, my Grandmother gave me some of her old jewellery and I have exactly the same necklace with matching earrings in perfect condition. I thought you might like to borrow them."

To say I was speechless is an understatement. I was really blown away by her trust and kindness. I love when people surprise me.

The only real challenges we're facing at the minute are in finding Steve a suit to wear whilst saying, "I do" and 16 people to volunteer to serve at our reception. We had four lovely volunteers at Church on Sunday so we're on our way. It'll be all right on the night. xc

Three weeks and five days? I thought the wedding was the 4th of November? That would be FOUR weeks and five days away...correct me if I'm wrong here. Which I never am, so don't bother ;)

was that a sparkler? I initially thought it was a hat pin?

Four weeks and five days! Yay! The pressure has lifted xc

You see, just like magic, I have given you an extra week to prepare...just don't expect the same thing this time next month :P

"Tying not to twitter about the wedding" is not as reassuring & kind to your friends as you may think?
Many people respond to change/a massive life changing decision in many ways:
• Denial
• Ignorance- Stop organising it, to stop the event
• Depression
• Stress
• Happiness
The above have the effect of silence, Except for happiness!
So I recon shout about it ☺ your only going to get married once and so keep talking, I love to here the excitement in your voice over a Vail, the necklaces, the table décor, the photo venue, the perfect shoes & even that its Steve your marrying ;) (only joking) I love that your having so much fun and am blessed to be a part of it and am honoured to be allowed a to be a part of your future ;)

I would volunteer but am a bit far away! ;) Blessings
