Geek out
Preperations for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has begun. I found out the release date a few days after the rest of the world as it was announced during the period I like to call the winter of my disscontent aka being sick in bed and only realised there was news when Pottercast from the Leaky Cauldron released two episodes instead of their usual singular weekly offering...
I was half asleep listening to the podcast begin when my ears were assaulted by screams and the announcement was made... the final installment of this epic story will be in my hands on the 21st of July 2007. That is also the date of the Charlotte and Jamie's Wedding so I will have to be uber disciplined and not bring it to the big day.
This is a momentus time. We are living through literary history. Preperations need to be made:
1. I have imediately pre-ordered our copy at WHSmith and shall be queing up at midnight on the 20th/21st.
2. I need to think of a costume, it must be killer.
3. Maybe this deserves a party? We could all come dressed as Hogwarts students and play pin the tale on the Threstral and bob for snitches. Hmm do I have enough friends as enthusiastic as me who'd be willing to dress up.... maybe not.
4. I need to clear my reading diary. This year is becoming a year of completion: I'm on the final Dark Tower book now, I only have one more Wheel of Time to go (he's not finished writing the rest) and I'm about to embark on Harry's final adventure. I must re-read Half Blood Prince in the run up. Hmm do I have time to redo the whole series...
What am I saying! It's the last book, I'll make time xc
I'll come to a Harry Potter party! It's the last book for pete's sake. Let's go national- invite everyone we know!
I'm reading half blood prince now but a little annoyed at myself for not starting at the beginning! Xxx

I didn't realise the new Harry Potter book is due. Read 'Half Blood Prince' but need to re-read (a distant memory) Preparing for a 7th member of our church and sorting out a Power Point for 200 Anniv of Bourne/Clowes (thrown out of Meth church in 1807 for preaching in open air/holding camp meeting and 1811 founding Primitives)Rejoice in 24/7 prayer too. God is good!

LOL SOOOORRY about the assault on the ears; I do have a tendency to do that sometimes-apologies again!
I can't wait to read the book either as it still seems so surreal to me, but perhaps thats part of me reluctant to face the fact that it is the last in the series.
Costumes are good; I am wearing something with yellow and gold in it for sure :)
Hope you feel better soon! Thanks for listening to the show!
Best,
Sue

In my slightly addled state I see a whole chain of HP launch nights, lit up by beacons: all a bit like the Queen's jubilee!!! We're plotting in Luton..
