Black Friday: Myth or Magic?
I am intrigued... Black Friday... will it be the Apple discount sale of the year? Or a clever way to repackage current items and make them oh so difficult to resist? I live in hope that tomorrows 'Special Shopping Event' will contain half-price iPods so I can finally replace my old bulging mini. Oh please, please, please! My absolute dream come true would be an iPhone but as they're £269 with an 18 month contract that's a luxury too far... :( xc
I'd doubt very much that Apple would build up loads of hype for something that's ultimately not what everyone was led to believe...

Ah I can feel the cynicism oozing through cyber-space... or wait... could that be jealousy??? ;)

They're hardly giving stuff away, are they?!
I think the only tempting thing is the slightly cheaper iPod Classic...

Cynical? Moi? Never. All the major companies in the world do it, but Apple seem to have done it pretty well in recent times.
Certainly not jealous - I have three old iMacs glaring at the back of my head at the moment...I swear they get a little closer very day (c.f. "Uncle Otto's Truck" by Steven King)

Yeah I'm a little disappointed at the lack of impressive discounts on their hardware. There's on £7 of an iPod Nano and that's the one I had my heart set on. Oh well my old faithful mini will serve a while longer... xc
