This week I have been hunting for venue options and accommodation for the Feast 2008. I have a wish-list of locations but currently I'm struggling to make any of them work perfectly. Being a British resident and getting paid in Sterling is pretty sweet when you're heading abroad. It makes you realise how wealthy we are. Trying to make things affordable the other way round with people entering our nation and gulping at our prices is proving rather tricky...

I got sucked in to the entrancing world of video editing last night. My head was in a funk after a days work and I wanted something fun to do so I sat down, went through all the footage of my Hen Day a year ago and turned it into a fab ten minute video of fun in the sun and sea...

Sunday the 25th November was proxy Christmas! The House of Sven was home to much eating, drinking and making merry as our friends and Chi family celebrated the arrival of our Lord on the earth a month earlier than the rest of the world. This tradition stretches back the yester-year of University when students from the four corners of England wanted to celebrate Christmas with friends before heading home for the real McCoy...

The DeLoreans played a Wedding in Petersfield on Friday night and I have to say I think we rocked. I do love being in a band with my lovely husband and some great guys. We wailed, rocked and funked out all night belting out such classics as Aretha's Respect and Gloria's I Will Survive: definite hits with the ladies...

Church was fantastic on Saturday! The creative team, the worship group and the speaker (Margaret Ellis - always a legend) worked together in incredible harmony to explore the theme of passion. The worship flowed into a beautiful piece of original music and dance, into the talk, into some images on the screens, back to the talk, back into dance film. It was so eloquent and moving. Quite an impacting exploration of passion, where it comes from and where we're focusing it on...

I'm only 26 but on Saturday night I really started to feel my age. The beautiful Charlotte Terris took the Chi community out to the Mud Club to celebrate her 29th Birthday. The ever talented ASkillz kept our toes tapping and our tail feather shaking so it was a little like I'd gone back five years to being a fresh faced graduate out with the girls on a Saturday night...

The Gangsta headphones were back in place this morning as I walked round to Lottie's for work. In the next month the DeLoreans are playing a Wedding, a private party at the Hilton hotel and of course our super exciting Shepherds Bush gig. With so much happening I thought I better get practising again so I can give them my best...

I've hit the ground running since getting back from my week off. I'm juggling 24-7 website content, loads of stuff for the prayer team and wrapping up the last few bits of the Feast 07 before launching into confirming venues for the Feast 08. If I think about it too long I start to get a bit nervous. There aren't enough hours in the day and I'm being super good at not working evenings which means some stuff just isn't getting done...

As Pete Greig perched himself on a tall stool and lent forward to catch the attention of the crowd with his story, a sense of expectation grew within me. I looked around the room at the many faces gathered for the 24-7 Feast and I felt like everyone was holding their breath as Pete began to speak…

Down time brought the beautiful opportunity to take more than 15 minutes in a day to read (oh the luxury) and a few much needed visits to the old cinema. Purely for fun I thought I'd run through the narratives that have inspired or bored me in the last few weeks...

Steve and I had the most lazy, relaxing week in our cottage hideaway the English Cotswolds. We snuggled up in our converted Hayloft to escape from the world and recharge some very flat batteries. The week was fantastic and in the midst of it Steve and I celebrated our first Wedding anniversay. As we explored a box of memories (Steve's strippy Wedding socks, the comb from my doomed viel, the games booklets from the reception as well as all the usual photos and guest books) I found it weird to remember life as Carla Trundle and marvelled at how quickly the last year has gone...

I've been propelled into a lot of writing, editing and uploading of articles this week. Sadly not on this blog :( The lovely Jonah Bailey is off to the states for a month so I thought I'd help him out by slipping back into my old web jounro role and spread the love, hope and encouragement on the 24-7 website. Phew! I'd forgotten how much work it is to write, edit, format and upload an article...
