It Is Finished

It's been two years in the making but we have finally got a finished lovely bathroom that I don't feel terribly embarrassed by every time someone comes to stay with us! It's absolutely beautiful, I love my green wall and it feels positively luxurious compared to our old hell hole. If you've yet to have the pleasure of popping round to the House of Sven then the before and after shots (left and right respectively) should help you to understand my shallow but sincere celebration!
Looking fantastic... but weren't you going for red?

I still say there was nothing wrong with the old one, everything still worked didn't it? ;)
(this from the chap who condemned the nasty 1970s green bath suite as soon as he got the keys to the flat)

It is lovely and it does make you want to use it.. especially the walk in shower... Eeek!
Simon - the old one was literally falling apart and into our kitchen below. It was condemned and had to go. I'm not even going to pretend that I'm sad. I hated it!

I was joking you know...though it would have been rude as a guest at the time to say "Blimey, that's the worst bathroom I've ever seen!"
If you saw what the flat had in it when I started, you'd understand. Not pleasant at all...

2 years is nothing compared to the 18 years 2 months and 5 days it's taken Mum and Dad to do absolutely nothing to our bathroom at home. One day, I hope one day...
