Three continents of encouragement
It's that fun time of month again when I look back at prayer room correspondence and the inspiring people I've been in touch with and pull out just a few extracts to encourage myself and those that work hard for God and the 24-7 movement. Below are the words of men and women on three continents loving the presence of God in the prayer room. Reading fresh stories and experiences like these remind me why I do what I do. Enjoy...
“Greetings from Baghdad… I am in Baghdad for three months pray for the city… I thank God who has enabled me to start a 24-7 Prayer [Room] in Baghdad and also paying for my hotel bills... We had one of the most anointed prayer time this morning and all four of us we touched by the power of the holy spirit and we are seeing God at work here.”

“This 24-7 week we had was again something new to us. We cooperated with people from different churches here in Brno much more than ever before and it brought new inter-church relations and that's just great!”

“We are praying non stop this week here in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe! Pray for us! We are in political and economic crisis as you are all aware and so now’s as good a time as any to be on our knees!”

“I’m very happy: it is a good period of praying. People are growing in relationship with Jesus... Never before [have] I had so much time with Jesus.”

"This has been the most fantastic, dynamic and spiritually enriching experience in the life of our corps in my time here. It's over but it's not the end, only the beginning. My prayer is that our corps will catch the flame and not let it be extinguished."

“The time we spent in 24/7 prayer was so special. Praying in the early hours of the morning was wonderful. It was so peaceful. I still feel the joy. I learned stuff about myself... I asked for more people to attend our service and three extra people turned up on Sunday. I suppose the biggest thing I learned was that we shouldn't need a planned 24/7 to pray in such depth in the wee small hours. Prayer is so powerful especially when there aren't any interruptions except the occasional call of an owl or other night bird. The great thing about 24/7 is that people were praying for the pray-ers. I loved that experience and plan to set-aside at least an hour a day just to pray. I thought I wouldn't fill the hour, but I could have done more..."
