I'm sitting in the 24-7 office in Chichester and I've just finished writing an email to a guy in China who's organising 24-7 prayer rooms. The bizaare part was that I had to edit all religious language to get past Chinese email filters. Prayer becomes pr#y*r, God becomes G*d etc., etc...
I was so nervous I checked the email 3 times to make sure I didn't get this guys in trouble, and then it hit me. Can you imagine living in a country where just writing an email about your faith is dangerous?
I have so much respect for him, and all the Christians in China, who continue following Jesus when the price they pay is far more real than mine.
Nothing original or profound, I guess the reality of the situation impacted me when I had a name and a real person on the other end of the email...
