Yesterday I received three emails from the US, Portugal and New Zealand with fantastic reports from 24-7 Prayer Rooms. It really brightened my day! Today I got another reply from the lovely Carla Gnomes running the prayer rooms in Portugal with the following fantastic story!!!
"I am really amazed with the prayer room (so are the pastors). It is running better than we ever expected. I am completely amazed by the changes I have seen in peoples faces and attitudes. I know our God is great in power, and nothing is impossible to Him - but I just can't help being amazed every time I see His power at work.
Most people take off their shoes as soon as they get in the room. Nobody told them to, they just do it - the presence of God is so strong that it is as if you could almost literally touch God.
People have been healed the minute they enter the room and start praying.
Yesterday I had to help a lady take off her coat: because of a heart
condition, she had a sort of machine attached to her arm 24hours a day, and could barely move that side of her upper body. We could see the suffering in her face. Today, when she got here, the first thing she did was take off her coat (alone) and give praises to God, because the doctor said she no longer needed that "machine" (I don't know how you say it in English) - she is fine - she was healed.
Another lady has been praying for months for one of here neighbors
salvation. She never really had the opportunity to talk with that neighbor who avoided her. Yesterday, on her way home from the prayer room, that neighbor called her from the other side of the street, saying she needed to talk with her. Of course she didn't miss the opportunity and immediately crossed the street. She was finally able to talk about Jesus, to pray with her, and to bring her to the prayer room.
There are more things happening, but I don't want to be long, and there are probably things we know nothing about. Only God knows.
All who have come to the prayer room are loving it and they want more! Our pastor wants more! They don't want to leave this place. Some who intended to come only for an hour, ended up staying here for 2,3, or even 4 hours and coming back for more the following days!
Our pastor asked me to put a sheet of paper in the prayer room for those who wanted to mark some hours for the following week - just to see the response. Well, at this pace... I think were getting ourselves a second 24-7 prayer week.
There is, however, one thing that is (more or less) sad. We expected people from other churches (I'm still expecting them!), but it seems like they chose to dedicate this week to prayer in their own churches. It's good, because we're all praying (they may not be praying 24-7, but they are praying!), but it's sad to see that we could be praying together - as a body - and not isolated just because we come from different churches. after all, we all belong to the same body! In it's time. I'm just glad that people are praying! That is in itself a
great victory!
Just one more thing, our pastor asks that you may pray for us. Thank you so much for your concern.
Carla"
Woooo hooo! Seriously... I am incredibly privileged to work here! Emails like this remind me why I'm here. God is doing things whether I read about them or not but I love it when I get to witness it. Next week is our prayer room here at Revs! Please please God! I want to see healing and people finding you in our prayer room. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please!
