I've been rhapsodising over this trailer for a few weeks now so I thought I'd share. Night Watch, or Nochnoi Dozor, is based on the first of three novels by Russian author Sergei Lukyanenko and looks incredible. Don't be put off by the gothic look, it's worth watching...

Inspired by the end of my second journal I flicked back through the few diaries I kept in my younger years. When I moved house recently found three diaries I had completely forgot I'd written. It turns out that I have no original thoughts, just have a really bad memory and therefore feel like I'm having new ideas all the time...

I am not convinced. Brandon Routh has pretty big boots to fill with Christopher Reeves dominating the red and blue lycra and Tom Welling strutting his stuff as farm boy Kent. This pic (click to enlarge) falls a little flat for me. The red is very dull and the logo looks quite plastic. Brandon looks like an impersonator, he doesn't seem distinctive enough to own the role. What do you think?

I got an email from Steven Fry this morning, yes, the Steven Fry. I love opening my hotmail to celebrities pestering my and I'd love to say that it was a personal email and Steven and I are friends but it's really because I signed up to the Make Poverty History campaign and get updates from celerities on how to get involved. Today's email was pretty amazing...

There is no doubt in my mind that God has a great sense of humour. My Mum is someone I respect very much, I love her and the way she loves God. As a teenager I would come downstairs in the morning to Mum's open Bible and grin/cringe in the evenings at the sound of her prayer meetings in the Barn. My Mum is really good at time with God. I pretty much suck and have to work hard at it, yet I am the one part of an international prayer and mission movement. Go figure...

May 5th is the big day for the UK General Election and party leaders are out in force laying down policies, criticising their opponents and kissing babies (I seriously saw Michael Howard do that – and it wasn’t meant to be ironic!) Yesterday I downloaded the Tory, Labour and LibDem Manifestos determined to make an informed decision but to be very honest I’m really uncertain and the sheer volume of information is overwhelming…

I've talked about this a fair bit with fellow elder siblings and most of us agree. As the eldest you often have more responsibility, are expected to set a standard of behavior and live under the myth that you are the intellegent one. I thought I wasn't bad academicaly until my little sister and brother came along and wooped my ass in all their exams. No fair! Lisa meant to be the beautiful sporty one and Adam, well lets face it, he's the baby boy. What role can I have if my sister and brother continue growing into gorgeous braniacs with witt and style!

...drain you like leaches. Yesterday morning I was on top of the world organising an on mass road trip to the premiere of Star Wars on the 16th and then in a matter of seconds I was nearly in tears at the realisation that I can't go because I'm speaking at a retreat in Dublin on the same day. You may not get it but gutted is an understatement. I was really dissapointed and it took me the rest of the day to get some perspective on the whole thing...

Mrs Sarah Armstrong! Congratulations Sarah you were the first person to give me the answer to: Where and When is the Star Wars Episode III premiere rumoured to be happening? With reports from two seperate sources. So, if you know your Sith from your Senate, your Jango from your Jaja, or if you just know fun when it jumps up and swipes you with a lightsaber the listen up, I have the master plan...

What a weekend! I haven't had so much fun and drama just hanging out with the girls in a long time. In anticipation of a manic time coming up, the Caledonian Road girls decided to opt for a more chilled weekend in on Saturday. Chilled went out of the window but Marmite monsters, Brazilian Godesses and pots of wax definitely added a little spice!

I have a very special friend called Charlotte. Many of you know her, though potentially by one of her many nicknames (bubbles, hot stuff, cruella, thelma that scary loud one at conferences), and I know that reading this many of you are smiling as you think of her. I met her nearly six years ago as a fresh faced 18-year-old in awe of this bouncing energy bean that was all pink hair and baggy flares...

Hmmm I have that pleasant, I-can-do-whatever-I-want-because-I'm-an-adult feeling this week. Last night I joined the beautiful Helen Monkton from Runcton in a girly sleep over at her Aunt's house. Helen is a fabulous cook so she watched bemused as I demolished her chicken and coconut concoction and grinned as I sat on the work top chatting away as she prepared it...
