I have that slightly nervous feeling in my tummy about the coming week. There’s lots to do, people to see, places to go and though I’m excited to be travelling again for the first time in what seems like ages (though realistically is only five months), I’m somewhat apprehensive that I’m going to manage to get everywhere on time…
Tomorrow (Bank Holiday Monday – Hurrah!) is a fun day escorting the Harding boys to see their Grandmother and then packing for my travels in the evening.
Tuesday I get up at the crack of dawn to get on a train to Harpenden for a Transmission Planning meeting. I’ve got a lot to carry so I’m not savouring the idea of negotiating the tube at rush hour but maybe I’ll meet some nice helpful people and it won’t be so bad. That night I’m staying in London with my gorgeous sister to catch up on all things boy like in our lives… I have a feeling I won’t be getting a lot of sleep…
Wednesday I wake up at the even smaller crack of dawn to again negotiate the tubes to Heathrow airport and catch a plane to Frankfurt. From then until Sunday I’ll be camping with a few other lovely 24-7 Base and Office leaders to catch up and do some leadership training together.
I’ve got a list of people to connect with while I’m there and a session to prepare on international communication and I don’t want to rush any of it. I know it’ll be fine and I’ll have a great time but I’d appreciate your prayers for my safe travel and that I get enough rest to have a sharp mind. I won’t have my mobile so I won’t be able to receive calls or texts. I’d appreciate any emails or comments though as they make me feel happy when I’m away from home! I’d love some wisdom this week please God. xc
