Fear is a powerful weapon. About an hour ago Smiles rang me to check I hadn’t got on the train. At 8.45 this morning seven explosions went off on London’s tubes and buses. There’s still not a lot of clarity about the cause but reports are coming in of walking wounded been taken to hospital…
London’s on high alert and all transport has been shut down and the affected areas have been evacuated. Reports are now coming in that stations around the country are evacuating due to suspect parcels but it’s likely to be precautionary after the other explosions. There’s a lot of fear in the air.
I was meant to get a train through Kings Cross this morning but opted to get a lift with Ben at the last minute. We currently in his hired van on the M25 making our way to Harpenden for Transmission. We’ve just passed a large flashing sign saying…

Everyone’s being told to stay where they are.
What caused this? An underground power surge that blows up a bus? This feels like an attack planned to co-incide with the G8…
12pm
Prime Minister Blair has just made a statement confirming the explosions were a series of terrorist attacks likely timed to coincide with this week’s summit. I know our nation is far from perfect and we’ve inflicted many things on the world but this is an attack on innocent people. This isn’t war; this is an ambush. Father please don’t let them win… let a desire for peace grow not fear or hate.
