Who am I? What's God like? How do you draw a graphic equaliser? Just a few of the deep questions I was pondering at last week's Transit training block. Lots of discussion on identity and the character of God, a little more time with people and a little less intensity made for a less draining two days in Reading...
Identity and the Character of God was the name of the game and stirring disscussions on The Motorcycle Diaries, the integrity of Jacob and whether it's better to 'journey' with U2 or Coldplay.
I actually really enjoyed it. It was a lot less tiring than last time with longer lunch breaks and a chance to make friends rather than be the billy no mates from Chichester. The cherry on the cake though was the four hour journey home with Ralf, Charlottie to Hottie and Peter Greig.
Tired chatter went from dating to 'which animal does the person on your right most resemble'.... Ah you've gotta love that jet-lagged, talking rubbish bonding. A highlight was deinitely the rather cheeky BMW driver who got us to push his flash new car a mile down the road to the nearest petrol station because he couldn't be bothered to walk there. I would have told him to take a hike but Jesus was specific about going extra miles.
Download pushing_tin.3gpFor a rather amusing video of our good samaritan moments click the link. Pete's got his dark jumper on, Ralf's in the Brown hoodie and I'm the one with the denim jacket and my ass hanging out for the world to see... Oh the joy, my new years resolution on elegance is really beginning to reap it's reward... xc
