A truly unusual thing happened this afternoon. Smiles, Bex and I, all back from our Christmas travels, found ourselves sitting in our living room with nothing to do. We've spent most of the last year wishing for a holiday and now we're on one our minds are blank...
Most of Christmas and the last week have been spent travelling between my family and Steve's enoying a relaxing and overfed holiday. We spent Christmas eve and day with the Trundles reading 'The Night before Christmas', eating a massive lunch, opening presents and seeing the Chronicles of Narnia. Steve's household was full to the brim with the wider Harding/Lucas family, Table tennis tournaments and a lot of laughter.
We've hit the January sales (I got a particularly lovely pair of Hush Puppy Boots and Steve did his usual trick of buying nothing and then clearing out a shop in five minutes), I've chilled in front of late night movies and dived back into the Wheel of Time series I'd forsaken for Transit reading, but to be honest now I'm feeling a little idol.
I'm not very good at filling lots and lots of time. I enjoy being active too much. I got so desperate I took my new boots and trousers for a walk and now I'm blogging before heading home to cook dinner and chill out with the girls. I need to make the most of it because I know that next week in the office I'll be longing for the free time... xc
