It appears I bring my clumsy nature wherever I go. I had the embarrassment of stepping onto a marble floor today and gaping dumbstruck as my legs flew into a painful split and several Serbian men rushed to my aid. They were very polite, they didn’t even smirk at my unexpected acrobatics…
The few that have arrived for the gathering are settling in nicely and I’ve just finished my power point presentation for tomorrow’s Big Conversation. I’m a little nervous about it because it’s an important discussion about the DNA of the 24-7 movement for the next five years. I think I’ve got a decent plan but I’d appreciate your prayers as we spend a Saturday discussing, praying and hopefully hearing from God.
The Serbian people are very friendly. Not many speak English so I’m hurriedly trying to learn the pleasantries. I feel very safe though, I’m about to go for a walk and see if I can catch up with the others who’ve gone sightseeing. You can walk through the city without being hassled, the only thing I’m finding hard are the professional beggars who pursue you down the street. I’m never sure what to do. My heart breaks but there are so many of them… xc
