I have ten minutes until I'm taking up the challenge of being totally silent for a whole hour in the prayer room. Before I run downstairs to grab the bull by the horns I want to take a few minutes to recap my Hen weekend. That fabulous festivity of fun, food and fffff.... ok I can think of an 'f' word so I'm going to say Jet skiing!
I have to confess I didn't really get the whole Hen night thing before this weekend. I've always found Weddings far more enjoyable than the potentially risky gathering of over amped women determined to have fun at the Hen's expence. I've been on Hen nights where the Bride-to-be bled from all the eggs thrown at her. A little drastic and unfortunate. I didn't fear though because I have five Bridesmaids who love me and know that drunken brawls through town are truly not my style.
The ladies actually burst into my room with a video camera at 8am on Saturday morning, dragged me out of bed in my PJs, threw a pillowcase over my head and drove me around the south coast dressed in a rediculous outfit, parading me around random supermarkets.
Eventually we ended up at a local harbour and I was paraded down the peir to a waiting boat all my girl friends had chartered. It was absolutely beautiful! I was gobsmacked at the number of people who had travelled hours and lavishly given their money to make the day happen. As we sailed down the Solent we enjoyed the sunshine, explored picturesque fishing villages, gorged on the gorgeous lunch, dabbled in the free bar and generally partook in merryment.
By the time the jetskis and swimming costumes came out in afternoon we were all ready to have a go. The wine was flowing, people were diving off the top of the boat and Charlotte discovered how much fun it is to jump waves at 50mph with me bouncing around behind her.
I was totally blown away by everyone's generosity, I spent most of the evening parading around in the the lovely lingerie marvelling at how excessive everyone was in blessing me. Thank you so much to everyone who came and made me feel so special. It was a brilliant celebration of life so far and I felt better equipped to woo my man on honeymoon ;)
Stay tuned for a couple of rather fab videos coming soon. Marvel at Steve's anwers to the Mr & Mrs quiz and see the editted highlights of ladies larking about. If your more of an instant kind of person then check out the photo album to your left, it's worth a gander xc
