Today I received the most imaginative multi-media RSVP to our Wedding invitation to date. The always resourceful and industrious Wardy and his delectable girlfriend Miss Shirley decided to sing their reply whilst burning the sparkler we sent them in anticipation! Download their musical marvel here... Download sparkler_fun.mp4 It's three weeks and five days 'til W-Day, it's starting to feel awfully close. Where on earth did the last ten months go?
Budget and preparations are going fine, the house is really coming to together and I'm getting pretty excited. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm boring all my friends with the topic, I'm trying not to twitter on about my to-do list.
The long hunt for an unusual veil has come to an end, the resourceful ladies at my dress shop did a little calling around for me. Actually my dress ladies have been amazing. I found an old costume necklace in a charity shop a few months ago that I fell in love with. Sadly it's a little care worn so I was debating whether or not it was up to scratch for the big day. When I went to collect my dress one of the girls came out of the office clutching a jewellery box.
"I was really freaked out the other day when I saw the necklace you were wearing at your fitting, my Grandmother gave me some of her old jewellery and I have exactly the same necklace with matching earrings in perfect condition. I thought you might like to borrow them."
To say I was speechless is an understatement. I was really blown away by her trust and kindness. I love when people surprise me.
The only real challenges we're facing at the minute are in finding Steve a suit to wear whilst saying, "I do" and 16 people to volunteer to serve at our reception. We had four lovely volunteers at Church on Sunday so we're on our way. It'll be all right on the night. xc
