I bolted upright, much to the groaning of my beloved husband and threw open the curtains to see a snowy Chichester. This is a rare sight indeed...

Freezing for fashion

The new You See Bones, I See An Army hoodies and Ts are finally here so Charlotte (in her high pitched enthusiasm) decided there was no time like the present to get them on the 24-7 site and make a little money to support the prayer. Today would be the first day it's felt like a proper January and we're prancing around in vest tops! Check out the 24-7 site in the next few days and buy one, make my pain worth while :D xc

Birthday Boy

Last Friday my lovely husband turned the grand old age of 29 so in fine (newly forged) Harding tradition we took a long weekend and spread the celebrations as thickly as we could. Friday was reading in bed, eating bacon sandwhiches, window shopping in town, catching (the dissapointing) Babel at the flicks and a quiet dinner with some great friends in the evening. Saturday was Bathroom shopping (hurrah soon that sess pit will be no more) and Sunday was lunch out and a full and happy Harding open house complete with mini Ballerinas. Fabulous... Happy Birthday Drake xc

Oooh Oaky Cokey Cokey!

Currently we have half a floor and a great pile of furniture in our lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lovely Oak flooring we purchased with a very generous Wedding gift is finally being laid and the effect is quite amazing. After a little rotten rafter replacement, and some strategising about how to lay straight planks against a crooked wall the boys have been working hard and performing wonders. Gone is the faded and stained pink carpet, hacked up floorboards and revolting crooked lino. Here is the sleek and sophisticated wood I could eat my dinner off. Hurrah!

Winter Walks

It has been far too long since muddy walks on Sunday afternoon has been the order of the day. This weekend with a golden winter sun slicing through crisp, clean air Steve and I set out to reverse the lazy trend and drag some friends out to the wilds of Arundle...

In Conclusion

Ireland was fantastic. A lot of hard work, much prayer and great chats over a pint of guiness in the local pub. I can't believe how much work we got through with the back drop of gale force winds and a turbulent but wildly beautiful Irish sea. A great picture of the 24-7 movement itself. I especially enjoyed the addition of another lady on the International team, Lisa Borden is a legend and though the guys have always been fantastic and I've never felt intimidated or exclued it's great to have a fellow female to hang out with. Especially one with such great taste in music.

Milestone

By the time you read this I'll be in Ireland getting ready to kick off the first gathering of the new 24-7 International Leadership Team. I'm excited and nervous all at once because it's such a big change and quite a milestone in the internal realignment of the family. Please pray for us, we have a lot to do and pray for, as well as getting getting to know each other. Don't worry Lisa I'll bring home plenty of Chocolate... xc

Why oh why can I not have the 'i'

Why are we not rich? Actually it's fairly obvious, if we were rich I would spend a signifigant chunk of our money on gadets. The new iPhone being a prime example. OOOO AAAAA Isn't it pretty. It's beauty is enhanced by being firmly out of our grasp. Being aware of their clever marketing ploys does not make me any less vulnerable to their charms. I am a self aware mug xc

Take aim, be prepared, start now

I'm becoming a little dependant on audio books. I've listened to the Harry Potter series about four times now as I clean the Armstrongs house or walk to and from work. I find it soothing to listen to a story as I walk, I find my self growing quickly tired of the music I own at the minute. After a swift investigation into the price of audiobooks (choke!) I've decided that pod casts might be a more realistic alternative...

In the absence of any decent books on prayer I picked up Richard Foster's Celebration of Discipline feeling a little guilty. I was supposed to read it a year ago on Transit but when I flicked through it's pages I was terribly bored...

Congrats Nick & Sarah!

I'm going to have a new sister, and she's pretty much the best sister in law I could hope for. Nick (of Harding fame) proposed to Sarah in Spain over the new year. We've yet to see them since their return so sadly I am lacking in the juicy details but suffice to say they're in love, they're getting married and we couldn't be happier for them. Bravo! xc

Wine club

Last night Steve started work at the 39 Club, teaching young people how to record music. Not wanting to miss all the fun I decided that if he's having 39 club then I'm having wine club. Thursday night is now officially my night for drinking red wine with friends. Becuase of the sad absence of Emmy (my traditional wine drinking companion) last night I headed to The Vestry to throw caution to the wind and talk to strangers...

Happy New Year!

This New Year was definitely unique, instead of tearing up the town we had a quiet evening in praying our voices would last one more day as we prepared for the Wedding of Ant and Ruth, and the mamouth worship session in their service. Steve and I were hoping to lead (provided our demonic sore throats abaited). The Wedding gave the beginning of the year an entirely different slant. Gone was the quiet introspection about the year gone and the one to come and here was the frantic activity of Wedding business...
