Today may be a grey, wet Monday but my spirits were lifted because today was the first day I've awoke with some energy. The dreaded lurgy is releasing it's last tenticles on my little ball of energy that normally powers my smile. I think I can credit a great weekend...
Saturday Steve and I popped up to Guildford for an afternoon painting with Danny amd Felix in the Greig families new home. I have to say it was great fun and it was good to be of some use but I think I'll limit myself to one small child with a paint brush in future.
They move fast. Faster with paint I'm sure. In the end we settled on letting Danny express his creativity on big open spaces before Steve and I neatly painted over them.
Saturday evening was a few hours with some great guys and girls just worshipping God. No agenda, no rush... lovely. I was pretty worn out so focussing was more challenging than usual. Normally I'm like "Hi Honey I'm home" :D when it comes to telling Jesus how great He is, but it took a little longer with an aching body and a dead head. I got there though. It was nice to have the time to persevere.
If anyone fancies joining us at a Return UK worship event, you're very welcome.
Sunday was our Church community gathering, a lazy afternoon with my husband and a fantastic evening with the Chichester Ladies!
Clothes Swap!
Each year the rumbles start to go around, clothes swap is whispered in hallowed tones as ladies get dissastisfied with their wardrobes. Whether they want to shun consumerism, enjoy a great night with some fun girls or simply like free clothes our annual clothes swaps is always popular. Bring a bag of clothes you no longer wear and dig around and take anything you like. One woman's tat is another woman's treasure.
I scored with four pairs of shoes, three cartigans, a pair of jeans and a jacket! Winner! All the joy of new clothes without any of the damage to my bank account...xc
