The Big Church Day Out

The Big Church Day Out was an incredible day.  It was absolutely amazing to stand among 14,000 fellow Jesus followers to laugh, worship and pray.  It will definitely go down as a unique and wonderful experience in my life.  I only wish I had more time to be out in the crowd with my own little branch of the church.  I am very grateful to my lovely friend Pete Greig who did a fantastic job MCing and made working with him a joy.  I have to admit I was quite intimidated by the task at first but together it was fun :)  Isreal Houghton was my musical highlight - his band was incredible, the worship passionate and the atmosphere electric.  I especially loved the prayer texting idea we slipped in in the last few weeks running up to the event.  To feel my old phone vibrating away and reading through heartfelt prayers and prayer requests was very moving.  Praying with 14,000 other believers for them was even more so.
